On June 11, 2026, the California Conference of Directors of Environmental Health, the Orange County Health Care Agency, and Riverside County Environmental Health are sponsoring the training: Norovirus Prevention and Response in Organized Camps. This is a two-hour session open to camp managers, industry professionals, and regulatory staff who work with or support organized camps.

During this training, participants will learn about:
• What norovirus is and how it spreads
• Best practices for prevention and reducing transmission
• Recommended outbreak response steps for camps

 

This training is provided through the Technical Advisory Committee for Organized Camps to support safer camp environments across the state.

No REHS Continuing Educations Hours will be offered.

Presenters:

Jenafer Forester, REHS, LRCIA is a Program Manager with the Orange County Health Care Agency Environmental Health in the Food & Pool Safety Program (FPS), overseeing Training, Plan Check, Mobile Food, and Wholesale.

Sarah Crossman, REHS, currently serves as a Supervising Environmental Health Specialist with the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health (EH), where she has worked since 2004.

Sheila Chavez, REHS, is with Riverside County and has served in the Department of Environmental Health for 18 years.
