About the Committee


The Executive Committee consists of the President, President Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, Immediate Past President, the chair from each of the four regions and the chair from each policy committee. The CCDEH Manager and Executive Director coordinate and facilitate their activities and meetings.

President Duties

  1. Presides at annual meeting and shall be ex-officio member of all committees.
  2. Acts as chair of the Executive Committee.
  3. Invites guests, and resource individuals, to the annual meeting.
  4. Appoints committees and chairs as designated by the Conference and Executive Committee.
  5. Represents the Conference at appropriate meetings or functions (such as Committee on Environmental Health of CCLHO, and others).
  6. Appoints, at his/her discretion, a special representative when official representation of the Conference is requested at meetings, or when liaison with State boards and agencies is requested.
  7. Provides direction to the Executive Director of CCDEH on conference business.
  8. Approves expenditures of funds not previously included in the current fiscal year's budget.

President Elect Duties

  1. Serves as President pro-tem in absence of President.
  2. Serves as ex-officio member of all committees.
  3. Serves as program chair for the annual meeting.
  4. Oversees Policy Committees to assure goals are being reached.

Secretary-Treasurer Duties

  1. Serves as President-Elect in the absence of the President-Elect.
  2. Acts as Parliamentarian per Roberts Rules of Order.
  3. Obtains reports, recommendations, or resolutions from committees during the annual meeting for the purpose of reporting the proceedings of the Conference.
  4. Serves as ex-officio member of all committees.
  5. Serves as Outreach Coordinator.
